GetWebSpace.com founder and senior systems administrator Adam Ellsworth began hosting his first website in October 1997, when the Internet as we know it today was almost non-existent. He created his first website in 1995, before Internet Explorer or Netscape were even available. Mosaic was the popular - and only - browser available and website design options were limited to choosing font color, one of five font sizes, and basic image support. Commercial hosting was almost unavailable at the time, and he began working alongside a University professor to develop academic-website management techniques.

In December of 1999, Adam began offering complete hosting packages under the new name "GetWebSpace.com." By March of 2000, he had two dedicated servers in Dialtone Internet's data center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Two years later, he added a server at SDN Communications in his hometown of Sioux Falls, SD.

Today, over six years later, all our servers at ServerMatrix in Dallas, Texas - one of the best datacenters in the country, and our home for 3 years now. The central location is located right where several large internet backbone networks connect, providing the fastest possible access to the US and customers worldwide. We employ an impartial 3rd-party monitoring company to check our systems every single minute, and regularly earn uptimes from 99.99% to even 100% some months.

We continue to take pride in the personal support we are able to provide to our customers. In turn, many of our early customers have been with us for more than four years and continue to refer their friends. This personal support, combined with very high reliability, has allowed us to maintain a turnover rate nearly 66% lower than most hosts.
