Transferring your domain to GetWebSpace.com? No problem. We do it all the time. It's one of our favorites.

There are many hosts and registrars, and each process can be a little different. The good news is, we're here to help. As long as you have ownership of the domain and access to either the password or the email account used to register the domain, the process is usually very smooth, and we can handle everything for you.

We can usually access all the information we need from the global registration database, so if you provide the domain name, we can find out who we need to contact to begin the process, and what email address you used to register the domain in case we need to reset the password for you. But that's not all...

Like a friend who didn't really know you that well, and probably should have known better, we'll actually help you pack your website.

This is above and beyond coordinating your domain transfer - if you are comfortable giving us access to your old host, we'll log in to your existing site, archive your files, copy them to your new server, and do a basic configuration/analysis so that it works with our system.

Of course, if you're more than comfortable doing the transfer yourself, we can help with any server-specific configuration questions you might run into. Plus we try to keep our FAQ updated anytime we receive a new request, so you don't even need to stop to ask.
